The hotel staff were excellent, our room was very quiet away from the main road, the location was perfect and the breakfast was wonderful

  • 6.2
    Good

Very conviant for this particular week-end away

The food could be improved and we had to return a flat glass of champagne, but after saying that we have joined the aclub for any future hotels in the group.

Town centre locatiuon was ideal. The restaraunt prices were too expensive.

Stayed in the garden block - very poor on the outside, old and shabby looking, poor coridoor furniture and pictures etc, room perfectly satisfactory, nice and clean but windows etc very old. We would stay again but only if price was right, definitely not a place for a romantic weekend getaway, it is in need of renovation. Did not eat there as the old decor put us off as we were not sure what we would get in the restaurant.

    Exceptional

Lovely clean room, great shower, fantastic bar staff, ( I thhnk his name was Adie).Good value, central to lovlel town of dorking..would defitniely use again..

When I arrived, the receptionist told me someone else had booked into my room. Very disconcerting, especially as I arrived initially on my own (my husband arrived later). Am still waiting to check that money hasn't left my account twice.. Also, the front of the hotel looks amazing/pretty but the rear building where most of the rooms are, was decidely shabby on the outside, although the rooms inside were lovely.

We thiought the hotel was excellent value - the room very comfortable and the breakfast very enjoyable.

The only thing wrong was the bedroom was extremely hot and there was not shower mat.

I found the reception staff very helpful and the room in the garden block clean and comfortable. The restaurant food and service was very good and the menu varied and most people would be pleased by it i feel. I would and probably will stay there again

  • 9.6
    Exceptional

The room we stayed in was extremely comfortable - all furnishings being very smart and clean. Breakfast was excellent and reception staff - charming. Despite being on the High Street we found the hotel to be extremely quiet. Parking is also excellent.

The exterior of some of the buildings is dated - we were accommodated in an annex to the main building but this should not put guests off booking as the actual rooms were super

  • 8.8
    Superb

Character of this charming hotel was wonderful, matched by the very helpful staff

Areas of hotel were a jaded and needed updating - ie, windows and carpets needed replacing, bathroom with toilet that flushed properly and pipes needed attention to avoid rattling all night.

  • 7.4
    Very good

The pleasant efficient way any queries were dealt with by all the staff we met

  • 9.2
    Superb

position of the hotel and parking, staff friendly and a wondefull breakfast only one night but would have liked to stay longer

  • 8.8
    Superb

A hotel with lots of character - that you would see in a 16th century inn - creaky floor boards old style windows, etc. Great location and for Dorking shops. Would recommend.

  • 8.2
    Fabulous

Good clean fair-sized room with all amenities we required for our short stay.
